Over the last 20 years, Mehringer Metal has been designing, fabricating, and powder coating solutions built to last. Founded on grit, ingenuity, and a vision, the company traces its roots back to an idea from our founder, Jeff. While working in the sample department at Design Institute America (DIA), Jeff developed a concept and asked to use scrap materials to create artwork.

The result was striking. DIA brought the finished piece to High Point to gauge market interest, where it received overwhelmingly positive feedback. This success led to additional designs, some of which were later featured and used by major retailers.

When DIA closed its doors in 2005, Jeff and several partners established Mehringer Metal to carry that momentum forward. From high-end glass furniture to metal furniture and precision components, Mehringer Metal has built a reputation for delivering quality products and services to companies throughout Southern Indiana and beyond.

From the very beginning the company was proud to have two generations working side by side. Early on, Jeff’s son Matt kept the shop clean by sweeping floors. Today, those same two generations continue to work alongside each other, crafting quality at every level. Whether producing one-of-a-kind designs, large-scale component runs, or powder coating individual pieces, the team at Mehringer Metal remains committed to craftsmanship, innovation, and hard work that deliver results built to perform.
